Learn About the Game Golf Solitaire

Golf Solitaire mixes simple rules with a puzzle feel. You start with a deck of fifty two cards. You split them into piles on the table and then build a foundation pile by moving cards one at a time. You clear all table cards using as few moves as possible.

You form seven stacks in a row. The first stack holds one card and the second stack holds two cards. This pattern continues until the seventh stack holds seven cards and you place the rest face down in a draw pile. Only the top card of each stack sits face up.

You move cards from a stack to the foundation and each card must share suit and sit one rank above or below the last foundation card. You pick cards only from the top of a stack and draw one from the pile if no valid card appears. You repeat this step until both stacks and draw pile hold no cards and no move remains. That ends the game. Count cards in the foundation and a larger total means you played better.
