Okay, “Fowlst” is one of those games that’s just instantly chaotic and hilarious in the best way possible. You play as this little owl, right? And somehow, this poor owl has gotten itself trapped in a world that’s absolutely teeming with demons. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to navigate your way through these chambers that are different every time you play, and you defeat enemies by, get this, smashing into them headfirst! The controls are super simple: you just tap the left or right side of your screen to make the owl flap in that direction.

As you’re bouncing around, trying to survive, you’ll come across all sorts of nasty hazards, like deadly buzz saws and turrets that are trying to shoot you down. You need some seriously quick reflexes and a bit of strategic movement to dodge all that stuff. While you’re at it, you’ll be collecting loot, and you can use that to buy cool power-ups like egg bombs you can drop or even rockets to give you a bit more of an edge in combat.

“Fowlst” is a fantastic mix of really fast-paced action and those roguelike elements where every run is different. It’s definitely challenging, but because it changes every time, it’s also super replayable. The art style is pretty minimalist, which works really well, and the gameplay is just so engaging. If you’re a fan of arcade games that are easy to pick up but hard to master, this one’s a real standout.
