Alright, so Madness Regent is one of those side-scrolling shooters that just throws you right into the thick of it. You get to play as one of those iconic stick-figure-esque characters from the Madness animation series, and you’re armed with an MP5, which is always a good start. Your mission? Battle your way through relentless waves of enemies across various levels, all with the ultimate goal of surviving the onslaught and taking down the final boss. The game is seriously fast-paced, and the difficulty definitely keeps you on your toes as you push through stages that just get tougher and tougher.

The controls are pretty simple and intuitive, which is great when things get hectic. You use the good old arrow keys to move around and aim your weapon, ‘A’ is your shoot button, and ‘S’ lets you jump.
