If you had a blast with the first Fowlst, then you’re going to love “Super Fowlst” because it basically takes everything that was great about the original and just adds more cool stuff! You’re still controlling our brave owl hero, flapping and smashing your way through levels packed with demons and treacherous traps. The good news is that the controls are still wonderfully simple, with taps on the screen guiding your movement and now swipes to activate some of your special abilities.

What makes this one feel even bigger and better is the addition of unlockable characters, so you’re not just stuck with one owl, and there are a lot more varied environments to battle through, which keeps things from feeling repetitive. Each level you encounter will throw its own unique set of challenges at you, really encouraging you to switch up your strategies and figure out which power-ups are going to be the most effective in different situations.

With its spruced-up graphics and a whole heap of expanded content, “Super Fowlst” definitely offers an improved and much more immersive experience than its predecessor. That awesome blend of frantic action and needing to think strategically ensures that you’ll stay engaged as you try to conquer stages that get progressively more difficult. It’s a really well-done sequel.
