Medieval Jousting

Play in Fullscreen Mode

Medieval Jousting puts you in the saddle of a knight’s horse for a traditional jousting contest. You face another armored rider and prepare to charge toward each other with long wooden lances.

Your goal is to strike the opposing knight while protecting yourself from his attack. Winning requires more than charging forward at full speed. You need to choose your horse’s speed and position your lance accurately.

Prepare Your Knight for the Charge

Each contest begins with two knights facing each other from opposite sides of the jousting area.

Both riders carry lances, which are long spears used during horseback tournaments. Once the charge begins, the horses move toward each other for a brief but important clash.

Your choices before the impact determine how well your knight performs.

Set the Speed and Aim

Medieval Jousting uses the Space key for its main controls.

You press Space at the appropriate moments to select your horse’s speed and adjust the aim of your lance. The game lets you set the horizontal and vertical position of your attack.

Pay attention to the indicators before confirming your choices. Poor timing can leave your lance pointing away from the opponent.

Strike the Opposing Knight

The most important moment comes when both horses meet.

A good hit can knock the other rider from his horse. Missing your target gives the opponent a chance to land a successful strike instead.

Your horse’s speed also matters. You need to find a useful balance between a strong charge and careful aiming.

Learn from Each Contest

Medieval Jousting doesn’t require complicated fighting combinations. Its challenge comes from timing a few important decisions.

Try changing your approach after an unsuccessful attempt. Watch how the speed and lance position affect the result.

Each short contest helps you understand the controls. With practice, you can make more accurate strikes and become a stronger jousting competitor.
