Battles play out in turns. Mario and his allies spend Flower Points to use special moves. These moves flip the scenery or target weak spots. You unlock new skills by earning experience. Each world ends when you free a Star Spirit. Between chapters you control Peach in short games. Those scenes reveal clues to guide Mario.

That first game sparked a series. The Thousand-Year Door adds a deeper story and fresh tactics. Super Paper Mario blends platforming but keeps the charm. Origami King brings new bosses and clever folding puzzles. Each entry ties back to the cutout style and playful fights.
