About Super Mario Bros (NES)

Super Mario Bros came out in 1985 on the NES. Nintendo built a bright world with moving platforms and brick walls. You take charge of Mario or his brother Luigi. Each level offers ground and floating blocks. Jump on enemies to clear the way.

Tap start and choose solo or two-player mode. Mario moves left and right with the control pad. He leaps over pits. He stomps Goombas with a precise bounce. Mushrooms make him larger. Fire flowers let him toss fireballs. Coins hide inside bricks and in open spots. Each coin adds to your point total.

Hidden tunnels lie behind certain walls. Hit vanishing blocks and doors appear. You find extra lives or new power ups inside. A timer ticks down in every stage. Let it reach zero and you lose a life. Keep an eye on that clock.
