Sonny
Info About Sonny
Next Version: Sonny 2.
Now, “Sonny” is a really interesting take on the role-playing genre. You actually play as a zombie, but here’s the twist: you’ve somehow kept your consciousness, and you have no idea what happened to you. So, your main goal is to piece together the truth about your past. The game cleverly mixes strategic, turn-based combat with a pretty compelling story, as you battle all sorts of enemies and slowly unravel the mysteries of your undead existence.
When you get into a fight in “Sonny,” you can’t just go in mashing buttons. You really need to plan out your moves, choose the right abilities at the right time, and manage your resources like focus or health carefully, especially as the enemies get tougher. The game gives you different classes to choose from, each with its own unique skill trees, which means you can try out all sorts of playstyles and combat strategies. What really pulled me in, though, was the storyline; the dialogue is surprisingly well-written, and it offers this really unique viewpoint on the whole zombie apocalypse idea.
The game’s art style has this cool, gritty feel to it, and the soundtrack does a great job of building a dark and immersive atmosphere. For what started as a flash game, “Sonny” really stands out because of its depth and the effort put into its storytelling. It offers a much richer experience than you might expect, going way beyond your typical quick browser game.
